2020 Scholarship recipient: Joselle Reyes

Musical Theater Performance Awardee

Joselle Reyes (she/her/hers) comes from the island of Saipan, and will graduate with a BFA degree in Musical Theatre Performance from Columbia College Chicago. Her goal is to obtain enough knowledge and experience in the theatre industry to return to Saipan, where theatre has limited visibility and is not taught in schools, in the hopes of giving the students there the opportunity to be exposed to the art of theatre. She was in Columbia's Mainstage production of High Fidelity and was last seen in the 2020 Chicago Musical Theatre Festival in Baked! The Musical which featured an all-Asian cast and won multiple awards including Best Ensemble. She is thankful for the support of her family and friends who continuously push her to go after her dreams.
