Join us for an evening with a little bit of rhythm and blues, rock and roll, the British Invasion, soul and Broadway. The 1960’ were both swinging and turbulent. It witnessed a revolution of new sounds introduced to our country. We will celebrate them with some of Chicago’s top cabaret artists. They will be performing along with talented theatre arts students from the five Chicago area universities where we fund scholarships.
This is our sixth trip, and it usually sells out very quickly! We will see four of the most in demand shows of the season (and the option to add a fifth show), enjoy one dinner and two luncheons, where we will have exclusive Broadway guests. This unforgettable weekend includes two nights at the beautiful InterContinental New York Times Square Hotel.
Escape into the glitz and glamour of ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’, the (fictitious) 1928 musical comedy brought to life in Theo’s intimate cabaret space. As a die-hard musical fan drops the needle on his favorite cast album, the show bursts into hilarious chaos—complete with showgirls, gangsters, mistaken identities, and one very tipsy chaperone.
Winner of five Tony Awards, this madcap love letter to Jazz Age musicals is packed with laughs, catchy tunes, and nonstop fun.
The winner of the 2024 Tony Award® for Best Musical is The Outsiders. This classic coming-of-age story takes you to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967, where Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their family of Greaser “outsiders” dream about who they want to become in a world that will never accept them. The Outsiders features a “tuneful and soul-bearing” (New York Stage Review) original score, “high-octane choreography” (New York Magazine), and a “sensational young cast” (The Wall Street Journal) that brings the show to life.
With the launch of the tour in January 2026, Ms. LUPONE celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the Broadway engagement at the Beaumount Theatre. The show is based on the CD recording of the same name which was released in 1999 and named one of the best recordings of the year by both The Times of London and Time Out/NY. Ms. LuPone went on to perform MATTERS OF THE HEART in London’s West End, and tour dates nationally and internationally.

You are invited to an intimate evening honoring Beth Leavel, most recently seen on Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends. She was nominated for a 2019 Tony®, Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics Circle award for her performance in the critically acclaimed Broadway show The Prom. She received Tony®, Drama Desk, NY Outer Critics Circle and L.A. Drama Critics Awards for her performance as the title character in The Drowsy Chaperone. Beth also received Tony®, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle nominations for her role as Florence Greenberg in Baby It’s You! Other Broadway roles include The Baroness in Lempicka, Mrs. June Adams in Bandstand, Emily in Elf, Donna in Mamma Mia!, Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein, Dorothy Brock in the revival of 42nd Street, Tess in the original company of Crazy For You, Mrs. Bixby in The Civil War, Ellie in Hal Prince’s Showboat and Anytime Annie (her Broadway debut) in 42nd Street. She has numerous Off-Broadway, regional theatre, commercials and TV credits, including the final episode of ER and The Walking Dead. Selections from these shows will performed by some of Chicago’s most talented theatre stars. There will also be the induction of our 2025 Scholarship Recipients.
It’s a celebration of life, hope and the healing power of love! The musical stage adaptation of Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize- and National Book Award-winning novel is a heart-rending, yet ultimately joyous, story of a young woman’s perilous journey of personal awakening in the American South. Come ready to shout in church, stomp at the juke joint, laugh and cry with unforgettable “come-to-glory gospel hymns, down-and-dirty bump-and-grinds, jazz that stutters, dips and dives, and gorgeous alto arias” (Chicago Sun-Times).

'Noor Inayat Khan: The Forgotten Spy' premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Festival to much acclaim and sold out performances. It is based on the untold true story of Noor Inayat Khan, an Indian princess turned British WW2 spy who became the first woman to be sent out as a radio operator and was vital to the success in D-Day. She evaded the gestapo for months in France, while creating a network that would sabotage their plans until eventually she was caught, tortured, and executed in Dachau.

A Wonderful World is the singular story of jazz legend, Grammy Award winner, and American icon Louis Armstrong, as told by the women in his life. Armstrong's innovative musicianship and incredible charisma as trumpet player and vocalist would lead him from the early days of jazz in his native New Orleans to five decades of international stardom.
