2023 Scholarship Recipient: Natalie Friesinger
Natalie Freisinger
Natalie Freisinger (She/Her) is a third-year Comedy Writing and Performance major, minoring in Writing for Television. She is graduating this Spring. Natalie swiftly escaped Minnesota for Chicago following the promise of a bright and thriving comedy scene and veggie hot dogs (without Ketchup, you’re welcome). She has been in multiple shows on campus, including two comedy nights and two years in the Comedy Cabaret, both as a cast member and as the head writer. In addition to this, Natalie is on Columbia College Chicago’s improv team and, after winning the iO’s Cage Match, got the privilege of performing a five-week stint on their stage. She has performed stand-up at the Annoyance opening for the fabulous Baby Wine and will end her college years with the comedy studies semester at The Second City. Natalie is beyond honored and grateful to receive this recognition and be included among many incredible individuals. She loves puppets, fun pants, Fran Lebowitz, and breaking the rule of threes.
