New York Immersive Broadway Weekend April 2025


This is our fifth trip, and they usually sell out very quickly! We will see four of the most in demand shows of the season (and the option to add a fifth show), enjoy one dinner and two luncheons, where we will have exclusive Broadway guests. This unforgettable weekend includes two nights at the beautiful InterContinental New York Times Square Hotel.

PRELIMINARY ITINERARY (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

THURSDAY, APRIL 24 (optional added fifth show)

  • 7:00 pm Death Becomes Her. Based on the 1992 film starring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn, Death Becomes Her follows the lifelong rivalry of frenemies Madeline Ashton (Megan Hilty) and Helen Sharp (Jennifer Simard). When alluring film and stage star Madeline steals timid writer Helen’s fiancé, Ernest (Christopher Sieber), Helen vows revenge. Meanwhile, Madeline spirals as she realizes that the older she gets, the fewer career opportunities she has in Hollywood. Desperate, she takes a magic potion from the mysterious Viola van Horn (Michelle Williams) to keep herself young forever. But when Helen shows up on Madeline’s door to settle the score, both women realize the magic potion has unexpected effects. Death Becomes Her had its pre-Broadway run in Chicago last season and was a both critical and audience hit. Orchestra seats. Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 205 W 46th Street.

FRIDAY, APRIL 25

  • Arrive at the InterContinental New York Times Square Hotel, 300 W 44th St. at Eighth Ave.

  • 5:30 pm – Welcome reception and dinner, orientation, and distribution of all theater tickets with special guest TBA. Bond 45, 221 W. 46th St. (between Seventh and Eighth Aves.).

  • 8:00 pm – Sunset Blvd. Following a critically acclaimed run in London’s West End in 2023, Lloyd’s minimalist staging has transferred to Broadway. Staring Nicole Scherzinger, formerly of The Pussycat Dolls, reprises her celebrated leading performance as fading film icon Norma Desmond. The production rides into New York on a wave of acclaim, having earned trophies at the 2024 Laurence Olivier Awards for Best Actress in a Musical and Best Musical Revival. Set in Hollywood, 1949, silent film-era star Norma Desmond longs to return to the silver screen. Holed away in her decaying mansion on Sunset Boulevard, Desmond lures handsome, struggling screenwriter Joe Gillis into her orbit, seeking someone to pen a movie that will fulfill her fantasy of a big-screen comeback. But as the pair’s connection becomes sexual and Norma’s delusions intensify, their relationship heads towards a violent end. Orchestra seats, St. James Theatre, 246 W. 44th Street.

SATURDAY, APRIL 26

  • 11:00 am- Brunch with a speaker TBD at Red Eye Grill, The Pacific and Santa Barbara Rooms, 890 Seventh Avenue (between 56th and 57th Streets)

  • 1:00 pm - Good Night, and Good Luck.   Academy Award winner George Clooney makes his Broadway debut in this thrilling historical drama. Based on the 2005 film of the same name.   A riveting play, directed by David Cromer about midcentury American television news, Good Night, and Good Luck follows broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow (Clooney) and Senator Joseph McCarthy, who led the political witch hunt known as the Red Scare. Mezzanine seats, Winter Garden Theatre, 1634 Broadway (between 50th and 51st Street).

  • 7:00 pm – Maybe Happy Ending- This critically acclaimed new musical staring Darren Criss and Helen J. Shen is set inside a one-room apartment in the heart of Seoul Oliver (Criss) lives a happily quiet life listening to jazz records and caring for his favorite plant. But what else is there to do when you’re a Helper-Bot 3, a robot that has long been retired and considered obsolete? When his fellow Helper-Bot neighbor Claire (Shen) asks to borrow his charger, what starts as an awkward encounter leads to a unique friendship, a surprising adventure, and maybe even...love? Orchestra Seats, Belasco Theatre, 111 West 44th Street

 SUNDAY, APRIL 27

  • 12:30 pm – lunch with special guest, TBD, Trattoria Dell’Arte, 900 7th Avenue (between 56th and 57th Streets)

  • 3:00 pm – Gypsy- This much-anticipated revival starring Sarah Siddons 2013 Award Recipient, Audra McDonald as one of the most iconic female Broadway roles ever. Danny Burstein joins her as long-suffering Herbie. George C. Wolfe is directing this production.   Orchestra seats, Majestic Theatre, 245 W 44th St.

Price includes Orchestra/Dress Circle or Mezzanine tickets (as outlined above) to four shows (subject to change, based on availability) one reception/dinner with wine, and two luncheons/brunch with Broadway guests. Two nights at the InterContinental New York Times Square Hotel (including all taxes, fees and portage charges). Additional nights may be added at $395 per room per night, subject to availability. All taxes, services and gratuity charges including portage charges at hotel. Includes a $150 tax deductible donation per person to the Sarah Siddons Society. The optional fifth show, Death Becomes Her, may be added for $185 per ticket. 


Not included: airfare, airport transfers, hotel incidental charges, local ground transportation, alcoholic beverages not outlined above.
