You are invited to an intimate evening honoring Victoria Clark, who most recently starred in Kimberly Akimbo on Broadway as Kimberly, for which she won the 2023 Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical and a Grammy nominations for Principal Soloist in the Musical Cast Album category. She also originated the role Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theatre, for which she won the 2022 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Performer in a Musical, the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical, and a Drama League Distinguished Performance Award nomination. She was also nominated for a Drama Desk for the performance.
After one year in graduate school, Victoria had the opportunity to audition for the original production of Sunday in the Park With George, which she booked. From that point forward, she continued to enjoy her journey as a professional actor which has led her to thirteen Broadway plays and musicals, several off-Broadway plays and musicals, and many film and television appearances. Highlights include The Light in the Piazza both at The Goodman here and on Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater for which she was awarded the 2005 Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical, and starring roles in the original casts of Gigi (revival), Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and Sister Act, for which she received Tony nominations.
Selections from these shows will be performed by some of Chicago’s most talented theatre stars. There will also be the induction of our 2026 Scholarship Recipients.
Patti Vasquez to host this year’s Sarah Siddons Society Award Benefit
Patti Vasquez (Host) is a Chicago comedian, broadcaster, and advocate who has spent three decades finding the joke inside the hard conversation. She hosts Driving It Home with Patti Vasquez weekday afternoons on WCPT 820, syndicated to Minneapolis and Seattle, following six years as host of Pretty Late on WGN Radio. Her stand-up has taken her across the U.S., Canada, and Denmark; her acting credits include NBC's Chicago Fire; and in 2015 she sold a sitcom pilot to ABC Studios. Her broadcast work has been honored with a Peter Lisagor Award and a Silver Dome. Offstage, she serves on the board of One Aim Illinois, working to end gun violence, and founded With Kind Words, which trains medical professionals in compassionate communication. The daughter of Dora, a Mexican immigrant, and Larry, a second-generation Irishman who drove a Chicago cab for fifty years and never met a passenger he couldn't make laugh, she is at work on a memoir, Chicago Girl.
